Creating and sending tasks is where you will most likely spend the majority of your time in Gratavid. The task section is meant for sending 1-to-1 personalized videos to students, donors, church members, etc.
Here is how you will create and send your first Gratavid task(s) from the App! If needed, you can also view the step-by-step directions to create and send a task via the Gratavid website.
1. Download the App
Apple App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/gratavid/id1579557538
2. Login and go to the task list
First, you will login to Gratavid and go to the task list. Go to the app and click login. Logging into the app is the exact same as logging into the website.
Once you are logged in, it will automatically bring you to the task list. The app is strictly the task list.
3. Add a new task
Once you are on the task list page, you will click the + button in the upper right. You will then choose to add a single task and manually type in the recipient's name, email, and comments/instructions as to why you are creating the task. After you fill out the information, click add task. You will then see it appear in the task list.
You also have the possibility to add multiple contacts to one task (i.e. you want to thank a married couple). Click on the task in which you wish to add another contact. Click next to the person's name on the contact currently to search other contacts or add a new contact. This is what it will look like if multiple contacts are added to a single task.
4. Add video(s) and select a note
After you have added a task, it is time to add a video and a note.
You have a few options for the video. You can record directly from your phone, search existing videos already uploaded to your Gratavid account, request a new video, or upload a video from your phone.
Learn How to Send a Video Request.
Once you have uploaded a video, click continue.
Now it is time to select a note. Notes act as 2 things: 1. bulk sends, and 2. a template. Here is where you use them as a template.
For the message section, it will automatically default to the message you created in the note template, but you can edit it if you wish to do so.
Check the send email box. If you are logged in via Gmail or Outlook, you can send it directly from your personal email.
Choose to auto resend the video if not opened within 3 days. You can change the number of days to resend anywhere from 1-7 days.
Lastly, click the preview button to ensure everything is all set before you send it off.
5. Send it out
Lastly, it's time to send it out! You can either send it right away or click the down arrow to schedule it on a different day.
